Youths Exhibiting Sexualized Symptoms Program
The YESS Program is a specialty program at Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital that provides developmentally appropriate and relevant interventions for pediatric and adolescents who display sexually problematic behaviors. This specialty program is evidence-supported and focuses on several areas.
All patients within the YESS Program receive a psychosexual consultation to gather information, inform treatment and make initial recommendations. Treatment includes individual therapy and family involvement. Patients may also participate in group therapy modalities. This program is provided in inpatient and partial hospitalization settings.
Therapy in the YESS Program is psycho-educational in nature and uses cognitive-behavioral therapy approach as a primarily approach. Treatment address issues specific to each patient’s clinical presentation in regards to sexual behaviors.
